Yeshiva World News continues to ban and censor Flatbush Anti vaxxer comments
In the article below on Yeshiva World News I offered a slightly sarcastic comment below in response which they refused to publish. Yeshiva World News has been leading a vicious propaganda campaign against yeshiva parents who do not want to vaccinate their children. In post after post they refer to non vaccinators and anti vaxxers as murderers and Rodfim. Rodfim is the plural of Rodef, the hebrew word for one who pursues another with murderous intent. The classic case of a Rodef according to Talmudic interpretation,is the biblical example of a homeowner confronting an intruder who is burglarizing his occupied home. The homeowner is permitted to kill the intruder in an act of self defense on the assumption that someone burglarizing an occupied home has the intent to murder the occupants. Yeshiva World News is deliberately and irresponsibly misrepresenting the scope of the Rodef law as applied in the Talmud. To compare a person who does not vaccinate, to a scoundrel who has murderous intent is a disgusting, ignorant, and false interpretation of the Torah. Only an Am Haaretz - an ignoramus, who has no association with true Torah scholars would advance such a preposterous twisting of Halacha - Jewish Law. Shame on you Yeshiva World News.
The bill was co-sponsored by MKs Yoel Hasson from the Zionist Union party and Shuli Mulem Refaeli from Bayit Yehudi. According to the bill, any parent who refuses to vaccinate their child will lose a tax point up to and including a 2,000 NIS exemption.
A second bill, sponsored by MK Meirav Ben Ari from the Kulau party, states that in a time of crisis or epidemic, the Director of the Health Ministry can prevent the entrance of students or teachers who are vaccinated from entering schools, kindergartens, daycares, and institutions of higher education.
According to the proposed bill, the Health Ministry will have to keep track of all unvaccinated children and warn their parents in writing about the dangers of not vaccinating children. Should the letter not prove effective, then the parents will be invited to an educational meeting in which they will be informed of all of the negative impacts non-vaccinated children cause on their own families and society, as well as the danger they themselves undergo. Should the parents still not wish to vaccinate their children, they will be made to sign a form of refusal. In such cases, the parents will be facing negative tax sanctions of up to 2,000 NIS.
If parents are not able to vaccinate their children due to proven medical reasons, then they will be exempt from these laws.

I assume Yeshiva World News will not have a problem if New York state reduces Medicaid and Food Stamp benefits to families that will not give their children the required 6 hours of secular education. In fact perhaps social welfare benefits should be contingent on abstention from Alcohol and Tobacco. This can be verified with a simple blood test. Maybe eating unhealthy food should be a regulated as well. Poor people should not be allowed to buy soda and ice cream with food stamps. Perhaps we should make Food Stamp benefits contingent on a weekly weigh in to make sure the recipients are compliant with weight guidelines. We should consider Reeducation programs for non compliant people to teach them how to be responsible members of the herd. China and North Korea have been very successful with these modalities. As an ultimate pressure tactic we should punish non compliant citizens with compulsory organ donation for the greater good of society. This new gem from the "Light unto the nations" is a beaut but I don't blame them entirely. There has been for some time a worldwide campaign to push this type of Draconian legislation. Hopefully Chanuka will wake people up to this Gezera Ra'ah that is being imposed on us by well meaning tyrants.

The Knesset has passed two drafted bills through their first reading that are aimed at applying sanctions against parents who refuse to vaccinate their children.
