Every Jew a .22 Because Guns are Safe and Effective or Security Grants and Gun Control? What's the best way for Jews and Non Jews to protect themselves from terrorists and the mentally deranged unleashed by the Democrats?

In the wake of the attack on a kosher grocery store in Jersey City, Jewish Leaders have been struggling to come up with a response to better safeguard their communities. Except for one fellow who is giving self defense training and ax throwing lessons, the establishment Jewish Communal leadership has been focused on two solutions, one is to lobby government officials for security grant money, and the other is to promote gun control. Sad, very sad. Many decades ago Meir Kahane urged "every Jew a .22" as in a 22 caliber gun. Of course he really meant every Jew a .45 or .357 or the like, but since .22 rhymes with Jew, that became the catch phrase.
The point being that if Jews want to prevent violent attacks, they have to create the perception that they are well armed and capable of defending themselves. Fortunately many synagogues quietly adhere to this self defense doctrine. In my own synagogue there are several members who quietly conceal and carry even on the Sabbath. Should someone attempt anything unwise, we don't have to wait for the NYPD to respond in order to defend ourselves.
Unfortunately, Establishment Jewish leaders are preaching just the opposite posture -  that the only way to defend ourselves is through greater and greater restrictions on our own freedom by building walls around our synagogues and schools with bullet proof glass and security cameras monitoring every inch. Not only do they want to hide behind the ghetto walls, but they are encouraging the politicians to promote gun control. Furthermore they are promoting restrictions on Free Speech and Free Expression and blaming Free Speech on the internet for causing the Jersey City violence.
Instead of begging for security grant money most of which will be funneled away into the bottomless pit of the nonprofit industrial complex,they should be demanding a loosening on restrictive gun laws that prevent citizens from defending themselves. Instead of promoting "active shooter training" - run or hide, they should be promoting arming and training teachers and students to fight and defend.
In New York City thanks to the Deblasio and Cuomo regimes and their respective lunatic legislative bodies, we now have a situation where the criminals and mentally ill have become a protected class and normal law abiding citizens have become targets with bullseyes. It is no longer a crime to urinate in public or to jump subway turnstiles. If you are arrested even for violent crimes you can longer be held on bail. There are crazed schizophrenic violent men walking around all over the city. Everywhere you go the smell of marijuana wafts through the air.
In such a lawless environment created by the Progressive Fascist Democrat party, it is essential that citizens be able to defend themselves when the need arises. No amount of security grant money, or restrictions on free speech could have prevented the Jersey City Shooting. However a firearm in the hands of any of the victims might have made a difference and caused a different less tragic outcome.
In the wake of the Poway and Pittsburgh shootings many synagogues and schools in Brooklyn have hired armed guards. However if your armed guard is standing outside with a badge,an ear piece with a wire, a gun, and a sweat shirt with the word security guard emblazoned on the front, rest assured that in a Jersey City style surprise attack, that guard will be the first to be gunned down. The most effective target hardening is to make sure a nice sized group of adults inside your facility are armed and trained in tactical use of firearms. This should be the standard for every synagogue and school. The fact of the matter is that guns are safe and effective and are the best way to immunize vulnerable populations against attacks by terrorists and the mentally ill.
